More accidents on Delhi Metro
This weekend saw two more accidents on Delhi’s Metro construction sites, including a fatal fall for height and a crane boom collapse.
A man climbing a ladder at a batching plant operated by Gammon India on the Badarpur Metro line at Jasola in south Delhi slipped and fell to his death from a height of around 2.5 metres.
The man, Arun Kumar, was reportedly climbing the ladder to carry out some cleaning work at the top of the plant.
In another incident at Anand Vihar, the boom of a crane parked at a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation construction site collapsed. Fortunately, no one was hurt as the fault in boom had been spotted and the crane isolated before it gave way.
