The roof men

A reader spotted two men repairing a pub roof in Lancashire last week alongside a main road with little attempt to work safely – a Death Wish example for sure.

The team working by the side of the road

Here is what our reader had to say in his own words:

"While travelling through the town of Ormskirk in Lancashire i noticed these guys in full view of the main road through the town. They where quite happily removing tiles from the roof apex, walking down the roof, down the ladder carrying the tiles, getting new tiles from the van, carrying them up the ladder and back to the apex."

The ladder access

"What really got my attention was the fact that they had roof ladders on top of their van but obviously decided they weren't worth using, also the guy on the opposite side of the roof was carrying and balancing a large bucket of cement which he balanced quite nicely on the roof apex."

Our man carries a bucket of mortar up the roof

"Also thought they had a good company marketing strategy by NOT sign writing their van so no one would know where they are from."
