Harbour crane collapse
A 200 tonne mobile harbour crane collapsed at a boat yard owned by Elevated Boats LLC in Houma Louisiana on Friday, killing one.
Local reports say that the crane’s superstructure broke free from its base while lifting a 30 ton load from a truck. The crane’s mast and jib then crashed through the yards fabrication building, landing on employee, Heath Perkins, 30.

The crane went through the fabrication shop
Perkins was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. the crane operator, Larry Naquin, 60, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. at Elevated Boats Inc. in Houma.
