More counterfeit cranes

We have received more reports of counterfeit Tadano cranes being offered by China based dealers. A reader of Vertikal.Net based in Russia, was looking at two supposedly genuine Tadano cranes this week, he took the precaution of sending us photos of the serial number plates having read our earlier reports on this subject.

One of the serial number plates

We made a quick check with Tadano which very quickly confirmed that the plates were clearly forged and that the cranes were not built by Tadano and that the cranes were counterfeit models built by who knows whom?

Another forged plate

The plates were slightly better forgeries than the ones that have been previously reported, in that at least one of them is stamped, rather than printed, but other errors continue and the model name is wrong.
