GGR adds A66 training centre

UK based mini crane group GGR has extended its training coverage by opening a CPCS (construction plant competence scheme) accredited testing centre for category A66 cranes at its Oldham location which is already an accredited RTITB testing centre for vacuum lifting.

Previously the company only operated a testing centre at its Long Crendon site, the new Oldham test centre will now carry out examinations for the static outrigger (spider cranes) and the mobile industrial cranes (pick&carry) endorsements A and B.

Plant operators level 2 NVQ will also be offered. The CSCS touch screen health and safety test is also offered through the Oldham centre allowing it to operate as a one-stop shop for these qualifications.

Once the operator has passed the A66 training course, they receive a CPCS A66 Competency ID card, a CPCS A66 Certificate and a Best Practice Guide

Graeme Riley, chief executive officer of GGR said: “The Oldham test centre is another example of GGR’s continuing efforts to offer its customers everything they need to operate efficiently and successfully. GGR not only has the equipment but the expertise and service that customers need – we truly are a one-stop-shop.”
