Multitel to launch 75 metre truck mounted platform

Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer Multitel Pagliero, is planning to launch a new 75 metre platform at next year’s Bauma exhibition. Two units of the Multitel J375 TA are currently in production at the company’s Manta manufacturing facility in the Piedmont region of north west Italy.

Multitel president Renzo Pagliero told Vertikal.net that both units have Italian buyers and the first unit will be exhibited at Bauma before being delivered to Eurotechno srl.

The new platform is being mounted on a five axle Volvo FM460 (10x4) chassis and has a platform capacity of 600kg giving a 28 metre outreach. The maximum outreach of 34.5 metres is achieved with 200kg in the basket.

The client chose the Volvo chassis (GVW 53 tonnes) giving a narrower rear stabiliser spread of 7.1 metres. A lighter truck (48 tonnes) is available with a slightly wider outrigger spread. The 75 metre working height is available with up to 400kg platform capacity.

The company already offers an 83 metre unit, the J2 383, which is currently the largest truck mount in its range.

Multitel also plans to expand its range of spider lifts at Bauma, showing a 22 metre machine – the SMX 220 – which uses the boom structure from the MX225 truck mount.

An in-depth interview with Renzo Pagliero will feature in the next issue of Cranes & Access.
