Dave Stewart leaves Skyjack

Dave Stewart, one of Skyjack’s longest serving managers, left the company at the end of October.

Stewart joined Skyjack in 1988 as an internal sales administration role, then over the years he moved through numerous sales and marketing positions, including regional sales manager in the USA and then for the whole of Canada, before being promoted to director of sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

After his time in Europe he moved back to Canada to head up product marketing, before becoming regional vice president for North America, and then vice president sales and marketing before moving into his final role in March 20911 as vice president national accounts for North America.

We have not managed to speak to Stewart since his departure so cannot comment on what his plans are going forward.

Well Dave, what can i say!!
You started with Skyjack on the 14th of November'88. The same day that i officially was appointed Skyjack dealer for the UK. That day was also the fist day we met, and i first brought a selection of UK Access rental companies to Skyjack.
We very soon developed a great relationship, and i have to say that it was with your support, commitment and desire to succeed, that helped make the introduction of Skyjack such a success.
It is in my opinion, my friend,a sad loss for Skyjack after 25 years.
I just hope that you, Cindy and your family will enjoy some time valuable together, before returning to this industry, which is much better with people like you in it.
Take care, stay in touch and good luck for the future.

Alan.

I worked with Dave for a number of years and am proud to say that he has become a good friend. I imagine he will want a bit of a rest after 25 years with Skyjack, but I am sure that we have not heard the last of him within the access industry. Keep in touch Dave and good luck in whatever you decide to do.

News of Dave's departure from Skyjack marks the end of an era as Dave was probably one of the last remaining members of the original Skyjack team. Dave is one of the strongest and most dependable characters that you could wish to meet. I had the pleasure of working with Dave for many years and I am 100% sure that whatever he decides to do next in his career will bring him the success and fulfillment that a guy like Dave so deserves.
Good luck to you Mr Stuart (and yes I have once again misspelt your surname on purpose just to wind you up) All the best for the future and please keep in touch.

This is a real shame, as Dave is a great guy who has given a considerable amount to Skyjack.
Of recent years there seems to have been too many senior changes at Skyjack with Dave being passed over.
Whomever picks him up will have a great asset on their team.
Best Wishes Dave.
