230 tonner for Wire Cranes

UK based Wire Cranes has taken delivery of a 230 tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 All Terrain crane with more deliveries in the pipeline.

The five axle LTM 1230-5.1 is equipped with an eight section 75 metre main boom and can be topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that offsets by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a maximum tip height of 113 metres with the main boom at 68 metres.

Andy Unsworth, managing director of Wire Cranes said: "I am excited to announce the purchase of the 230 tonne LTM1230-5.1. This addition marks a crucial step in expanding our fleet and will significantly enhance our ability to serve our growing customer base. This is the first of our continued fleet investment for this year and next."

Founded in 2023, Wire Cranes and lifting is based in Warrington, North West England, and runs a fleet of spider cranes, All Terrains from 35 to 500 tonnes as well as mobile self-erecting tower cranes.
