Longton enters administration
UK based Longton Crane Hire of Stoke on Trent has appointed an administrator and may cease trading. The move has come as something of a surprise to both employees, who we understand were informed yesterday evening, and others in the crane rental industry.
The company was established in 1979 and latest accounts suggest that it was in reasonable shape. The business was well run and it has a solid reputation. It is owned by the Dale family.
A call to the premises today merely confirmed the situation and we were told that the administrator would contact us in due course.
Sad to see a good company struggling comiserations to it's employees.
