Three new Liebherr for Dewsbury & Proud
UK crane rental company Dewsbury & Proud has taken delivery of three new Liebherr All Terrain cranes – its first Liebherrs.
The first to arrive was a 55 tonne, three axle LTM 1055-3.2, followed by a 40 tonne two axle LTM 1040-2.1 and finally a 50 tonne three axle LTM 1050-3.1, which arrived just in time for Vertikal Days and has now been delivered.
The Wolverhampton based company purchased the three cranes for its new depot in Loughborough. It ordered them all with full specifications, including the LICCON 2 crane control and safe load indicator, with BTT-Bluetooth technology and GSM module for remote trouble shooting and monitoring.
The LTM 1055-3.2 has all wheel drive and steer, a five-section 40 metre main boom and 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, which can be offset by 0, 20, and 40 degrees, providing a maximum on board under-hook-height of 56 metres.

Dewsbury & Proud was founded in 1977 by Jerry Dewsbury and Tony Proud and is now managed by Tony’s son Tim. The company is undergoing a planned expansion, currently operating 23 mobile cranes up to 130 tonnes capacity and three mini crawler cranes, covering the Midlands region.
Tim proud said: "Having undertaken a long and detailed negotiation, we confidently added Liebherr cranes to our fleet for the first time, starting with the 55 tonner. We like the build quality and technology which is excellent and we see the LTM 1055-3.2 as the leading three axle model in its class. We like to develop long-lasting partnerships with our customers and our suppliers just as Liebherr does, so we look forward to a mutually beneficial and long-term relationship, cementing this with these three consecutively purchased cranes."
