Snorkel appoints Sun Marketing
Snorkel has appointed Sun Marketing Group as its manufacturer’s representative in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee as part of a plan to strengthen its presence in the South East region of the USA.
Sun Marketing was created with the merger of Benjamin & Associates, The Kirkland Company, and South Central Agents in January 1994 as part of a plan to provide improved market coverage, a greater product range and the highest quality service to their customers. The managing partners then and now are Bill Benjamin, Corry Oakes, and Dick Smith.
Sun represents more than 20 equipment manufacturers in construction, industrial landscaping and agricultural, including Sullair, Subaru, Bartell Morrison, Graco, and Sakai. In total it covers the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the Caribbean
The company has 10 field sales agents, with a customer base focused on rental stores, construction equipment dealers, events companies, equipment exporters and industrial tool dealers.

Mike Stevenson, Snorkel’s sales manager for the South Central Territory and Tennessee West of Nashville, said: “Sun Marketing is the ideal partner for us in this region. The company has roots here stretching back more than 20 years, has strong customer relationships and a reputation for being a company you can trust.”
Dick Smith of Sun Marketing added: “The aerial lift market in North America is experiencing high growth and we know there is demand for these products from our existing customer base. The Snorkel machines really suit our customers because they are simple, reliable and durable, plus we have one of the most extensive aerial lift product ranges available to offer them.”

It is interesting to read that Snorkel is making progress in the Unites States.
However, their lack of communication to their UK customers is lamentable.
There have been no communications as to a replacement for previous Sales Director - Richard Tindale, no communications since the demise of the relationship with Leach Lewis and despite a request to a senior member of staff (on their stand at Vertikal Days) for a meeting with someone from their UK sales team, there has been zero contact.
I wish Sun Marketing all the luck with their new venture, because, if their support is the same as shown to the UK market, they're going to need it!
Watch this space for a future announcement of a sizable order placed by my company with one of Snorkel's competitors!!!!!

Good luck with that.
