Feet in the water

Spotted by a reader in West Drayton, UK a man using a long ladder with its feet firmly in the canal.

Now how did he get onto that ladder?

The ladder is firmly planted in the Grand Union canal near Horton road bridge in West Drayton Middlesex and the man is around five or six metres from canal level.

The questions that jump out include: How sure is he of the depth of the mud? Or the security of the ladder’s footing? Also how did he get onto the ladder, which is a very long two section aluminium one?

Interesting... and while he could be said to have a soft landing below, his fall would probably involve the ladder feet sinking before falling onto the steel barrier of the building.

A definite candidate for our Death Wish series.

If he falls and bounces down the ladder he will likely have a concussion. When he lands in the canal he will drown.
