Airos for Lifterz

UK rental company Lifterz has ordered a selection of Airo scissor and boom lifts.

The Wakefield based company will take delivery of two 33ft X12E electric scissors lifts and two 33ft A12JE battery electric boom lifts, complete with rotating articulated jibs and the Sentinal electronic secondary guarding.

The order follows a visit to the Airo production facility in Luzzara - a 30 minute drive south west of Verona, Italy - last month. The four units will be on the Aerial and Handling Services stand - Airo’s UK distributor - at Vertikal Days next month.

The 33ft A12JE has 230kg platform capacity and 7.5 metres working outreach

The A12JE has a 12.1 metre working height with 230kg platform capacity, overall width is just 1.2 metres, and working outreach 7.5 metres. Lifterz has specified the 140 degree articulated Jib with the jib rotation option, providing 130 degrees of lateral rotation. The new Sentinal secondary guarding system is similar to the JLG SkyGuard, in that it stops boom functions when activated by a pressure pad located above the controls and automatically ‘backs off’ the previous movement- giving the operator more space between the control panel and the obstacle, as well as alerting others with a flashing light and siren.

Comments

As previous comments. I will be intrigued how Malcolm and the team get on with a newer manufacturer in the field so to speak. The questions regarding support and reliability will be quickly answered as I know these are highly utilised lines of equipment. The product development from Airo seems very positive, Vertikal should be interesting for a large number of reasons!!!
