Airo variable platform in production
The prototype variable sized platform for Airo push around lifts shown in prototype form last October is now in production, with the first order for 10 units shipped to the UK this month.
The prototype was originally designed and fabricated by Airo’s UK dealer - Aerial and Handling Services - but has now been adopted and made by Airo in Italy.
The variable platform design has a 50mm narrower handrail width at 520mm while the basket length can be reduced from just over a metre to 520mm resulting in a 520mm square ‘micro cage’. This allows the platform to work in more confined spaces such as through suspended ceiling openings. The production version of the platform has a saloon type entrance gate following feedback from the field trials. It is available across the PAV range with working heights from three to 5.3 metres. The variable platform cage can be retrofitted to existing Airo platforms and may be made available on larger scissor lifts in the future.

With the cage size reduced the lift is ideal for working above suspended ceilings
The new production versions will be on display at Vertikal Days in May.

Was Youngman an integrated design? would you rather have an electronic sun-roof or one you have had to send back to a workshop for a technician to change for you???
Speed and productivity advantage everytime

This is not new technology. The confined space cage has been offered on the Boss X3X for years.

This is a real step change in design and application, great innovation and the absolute vanguard in the low level sector. Well done Airo
