A dozen RTs for Chittagong

Bangladesh's Chittagong Port Authority has taken delivery of 12 new 35t Grove RT540E Rough Terrain cranes. The order is the manufacturer's single largest delivery to the country so far, and was made through local dealer ETL (Essential Trade Lines).
The new units arrive on site

The RT540E features a 31 metre four section main boom plus a 13.7 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum 47 metre tip height. The units will handle cargo operations around the jetty and import/export areas at Bangladesh's largest seaport.

ETL managing director Muntasir Mostafa said: "Bangladesh's garment industry is one of the largest in the world, and Chittagong Port is its lifeblood. As the port continues to expand, the demand for reliable, high performance cranes is growing. These RT540E cranes offer a perfect mix of lifting capacity and durability."

Chittagong Port, based in southeast Bangladesh, handles approximately 90 percent of Bangladesh's imports and exports and around 98 percent of its containerised cargo. The new RT540E cranes join nine existing Grove units - a mix of All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes purchased over the past five years.

More information on how the cranes are spec'd out please. Emissions components? Load scales? I don't see anemometers at the boom tip. That's kind of a big one at a port especially if your making cyclic lifts with high profiles.
