Airworx opens in Fort Wayne

Indianapolis, Indiana based aerial lift rental company Airworx Construction Equipment & Supply is opening a Fort Wayne, Indiana location.

The company is moveing into a 7,500 sq/ft (700 sq/m) facility on West Washington Center Road. The initial operation will include around 200 aerial lifts and telehandlers, including JLG booms, Skyjack scissors and Genie run arounds. It will create 13 local jobs.

Airworx was acquired in May 2008 from founder Dick Kagy by Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co, an Indianapolis-based private equity firm which also owns Crane Rental Corp – one of the lead customers for Manitowoc’s new 31000 crawler cranes.
