TABS attracts over 100

The fifth Tag der Arbeitsbühnensicherheit (TABS) German language safety conference for aerial lifts attracted over 110 delegates yesterday.

More than 110 delegates attended


The conference, organised jointly by the Vertikal Press and IPAF, and sponsored by Niftylift, Rothlehner, Morneweg insurance and Resch safety manuals, was held this year at the MAN truck plant in Munich.

Delegates from access rental companies to a wide variety of end users, heard presentations from a diverse range of speakers, including representatives of the Berufsgenossenschaft – the German health & safety association– BG Metall and BG Bau, Dr. Klaus Gregor a judge responsible for work place accident cases, Tim Whiteman of IPAF, Rüdiger Kopp of Vertikal on the latest safety innovations from Bauma, Axel Gobas on telehandlers for working at height and Reinhard Willenbrock of IPAF Germany.

Tabs 2010


The conference moves each year to take in a different geographic region while also combining the event with an interesting location. Yesterday’s conference included a full tour of the MAN production facility and access to the company museum area. Previous TABS have been held at Frankfurt airport, Mercedes Wörth and the Airbus plant in Hamburg.
