Crane tips into river
A truck mounted lattice boom crane tipped over in Fairbanks Alaska yesterday while pile driving, no one was injured, although the operator was shaken and taken to hospital as a precaution.

The crane's boom came down across the river
The crane a four axle unit of some vintage has been driving piles for over a month, on the Barnette Street over the Chena River.
A Department of Transportation spokeswoman said that the crane overextended itself while driving a pile at around 12 metres radius. The crane was employed by Anchorage based Sandstrom & Sons.

The truck crane tipped onto its side
The crane’s boom was cut up and removed, while a crew worked on cleaning up a small oil spill.
