EasiUpLifts add to specialist lift fleet

Last week Harry McArdle and John Ball, of Height for Hire/Easi Up Lifts, the Irish based access rental company, made a last minute, impulse decision to visit Germany’s Platformers days at Hohenroda this weekend, the short trip turned into an expensive excursion as they added to their specialist fleet of aerial lifts.

Fist in the shopping basket were four more Aichi crawler mounted booms, two SR21B 12metre units and two SR21A 21 metre models. The four booms will be delivered this year and will join the company’s fleet in Scotland. The four units follow three 21 metre units that joined the Irish fleet at the end of last year.

No sooner had the two intrepid buyers concluded the Aichi purchase and they were off to the Falck Schmidt stand to close a deal with Brian Falck Schmidt for a 42metre track mounted Falcon spider lift FS420C, the first unit for a UK or Irish company. A 37 metre FS370C version of the unit was performing on the steep rough terrain test pad throughout the show. The Unit ordered by Easi UpLifts has three built in power sources, Diesel, Battery electric and AC mains power source allowing the unit to work just about anywhere. With a 1.2m overall width it can squeeze into most industrial buildings and high rise atrium areas, The main track unit expands to 1.5 metres for better stability on Rough Terrain, while the chassis can raise itself up to allow the machine to climb a staircase.
