Higher Access expands fleet

Manchester UK-based spider lift rental company Higher Access, has added to its fleet, purchasing two new 25 metre Teupen Leo25T and a 22 metre Bluelift tracked platforms.

Higher Access says that the machines - fill a specific gap within its hire fleet.

“We have always had a requirement for a machine between 20 and 25 metres which was light and quick with good ground clearance and wide tracks,” said operations director Peter Ashburner. “The biggest issue was that we also needed to have the outreach of a typical 30metre spider of around 15.5 metres. The Leo25T is the only machine that offers such a rounded package enabling us to fulfil a number of new contracts that we have been awarded in forestry, telecoms and power line work.”

“As with all of our new equipment we specified non-marking tracks coupled with minimal ground pressures and a 240V power supply as standard and the machine is an extremely competent and versatile platform for indoor use.”
Another new arrival to the fleet will be the 22 metre Bluelift C22 ordered at Vertikal Days and due for arrival October 2010. After much deliberation the company opted for Bluelift over numerous other manufacturers for a number of reasons.

“The new C22 provides the perfect package and after many sessions with Andrew Fishburn from distributor Bravi UK and a very attentive and responsive factory team we decided to purchase following several modifications they demonstrated a machine that we felt would prove to be extremely popular with hirers,” said Ashburner.

“A number of features - the movable tracks, great unrestricted working envelope with 200kg in the basket and an intuitive control system with memory function - convinced us to purchase our first machine with a potential to roll out more over the early part of next year. The machine also benefits from an exceptional emergency lowering system never before seen in this class of machine as well as being extremely compact allowing it to easily be offered as a 19 metre or 22metre machine.”
