A-Plant wins another safety award

A-Plant, one of the largest non-operated tool and equipment hire companies in the UK, has won the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and Severn Trent Water Occupational Health and Safety Award for the second year running.

A-Plant’s Gold Award was awarded due to its “excellent occupational health and safety management systems, rigorous approach to occupational health, high levels of compliance with control measures, below average and reducing rates of error, harm and loss and no fatal or major injuries”.

The company has an ongoing programme aimed at educating customers in new Health and Safety legislation and how to meet the latest operational guidelines from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

The Gold Award was presented at a ceremony at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. The RoSPA/STW Awards have been developed specifically for Severn Trent Water contractors, to recognise and improve health and safety performance and demonstrate commitment to this important issue.
