Positive mood at Platformers Days

This year’s Platformers Days attracted a good number of visitors yesterday in spite of the wet weather which turned out not to be as bad as forecast with a good number of dry spells between the downpours and showers.

The turnout was good in spite of the weather

All of the exhibitors that we spoke to were encouraged by the positive mood that most visitors with them and a good number of deals were done within the first few hours.

There were few out and out innovations on show but most of the major manufacturers attended with their latest products.

A new exhibitor was Hybrid Lifts Europe, which has the European distribution rights for the Custom Hybrid low level scissor lift product line. The two principles René Tekpstra and Martijn Arkesteyn are working closely with Aichi Sales Office Europe, sharing facilities and back office functions.

Possibly the first purchase of the day went to Snorkel/UpRight, preparing to make the formal transition from UpRight to Snorkel on Tuesday the company sold two compact Rough Terrain scissor lifts to Belarus based Forent. Chief executive Andrej Bozhko was visiting the Hohenroda event for the first time.

UK based Power Towers also got off to a good start with two orders and benefited along with Pop-Up in the rapidly growing interest in low level access from German rental companies.
