Manitou raises funds for Alzheimer’s

Manitou UK handed over a cheque for £4,000 to the Alzheimer’s society earlier this month, following a fund raising activity at a number of trade shows.

The initiative involved collecting donations in return for either a Manitou feed bucket or a ‘Bag for Life’ at the Royal Highland Show, Cereals and South West Grass event 2009.

Manitou UK would like to thank everyone who contributed in the charity initiative and helped it to raise this large amount.

The Alzheimer’s society works to improve the quality of life for people affected by dementia. There are currently 750,000 people in the UK with dementia with the figure set to rise to 1 million by 2025. The money raised will be used towards research in to the condition.
