Bigge expands

Bigge Crane and Rigging is relocating its east coast Headquarters to a new, larger facilty in Richmond, Virginia. The new facilty is more than twice the size of its current Richond yard.

The new location will be over twelve acres, and will be the headquarters for all heavy transportation and crane & rigging operations on the Eastern seaboard.

Along with the move Bigge is increasing the size of its crane fleet, adding more than twenty Rough Terrain cranes and a dozen crawler cranes with capacities from 100 to 440 tons.

Joe Nelms, vice president of sales and marketing said: “Our current location in Richmond couldn’t keep up with our work load. Adding to our fleet and moving to this new complex will help us satisfy the demand.”

Bigge has expanded in Virginia, Seattle and Houston

In addition to expanding in Richmond Bigge has recently added sales staff to its Seattle location and expanded into crane rental there. In Houston it recently took delivery of several Link-Belt HC-278 truck cranes as part of a local expansion programme.
