New Altec dealer in the UK

Kettering-based Cumberland Industries is to represent US-based aerial lift and crane manufacturer Altec in the UK. The announcement follows the termination of Cumberland's agreement with Terex Utilities earlier this week.

Cumberland Industries is now distributing the full Altec product range with the agreement to be officially finalised in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Cumberland has sold its first Altec unit - an AT36/40 insulated platform mounted on a Unimog U400 - to CE Electric for delivery in March 2011.

"With the full range of Altec products available, as well as the existing Socage platforms we have a full range of products for the UK," said Paul Murphy of Cumberland.

Cargotec ceased being the official UK distributor for Altec at the end of September.
