Euro Auctions opens site in Spain
Euro Auctions, the construction equipment auctioneer, is opening a new permanent sale site in Valencia, Spain.
The new site has been selected to support customers in Southern Europe. It will also act as a distribution platform for the currently booming markets of northern Africa and the Middle East.
The new location covers 3.2 Hectares (8 Acres) and is situated in the Riba-roja de Turia district of Valencia, offering easy access to the main dock areas for loading and shipping. The Valencia site will be run and managed by Euro Auctions new territory manager in Spain, Paolo Alecci.
The first construction equipment sale at the new site will take place on Tuesday 7th December. The stock for this first auction will include 800 lots, ranging from excavators, dumpers and loaders to telehandlers and a large consignment of surplus stock from a leading European rental company.
Jonnie Keys, general manager of Euro Auctions said: “We always wanted to establish a facility in Spain following the continued demand from our loyal customer base. Now with the arrival of the Valencia site we are strategically positioned to support the currently buoyant markets of North Africa, south Eastern Europe and the Middle East which seem to be ignoring the current global economic trends.”
Euro Auctions expansion into Spain will immediately create seven new positions in the company, including three in Dromore, managing the Spanish desk, and four on the ground in Valencia. Euro Auctions anticipates a further increase in staff numbers to manage the new auction site in early 2011.
