Crane tips in Oregon
A four axle truck crane went over backwards in Dexter Oregon (south east of Eugene Oregon) on Friday – why? No outriggers appear to have been deployed before the operator raised the base boom section to its maximum elevation.
As a result the crane tipped over backwards.

The crane went over backwards
The crane, a Grove owned by Knight Construction of Deer Park Washington State, was working from the dam across Dexter Reservoir when it tipped, thankfully for owner it did not continue down onto the water below.
As of last night the crane was still hanging over the edge of the dam as the Army Corps of Engineers, believed to be the client, figured out how to recover it.

Fortunately the crane hung onto the dame
The investigation into what caused it to tip is said to be on-going!
