Crushing accident in NZ

Reports have come in about another crushing accident in a boom lift, this time in Nelson, New Zealand. We understand that a 22 year old using a lift on a building site at the Marlborough Institute of Technology was badly crushed between the platform of his lift and an overhead steel beam that he was working on.

The emergency services were called and issued a statement afterwards that said the man had been taken to Nelson Hospital in a serious and but stable condition having suffered serious "crush" injuries to his upper torso.
