James Scheiner 1945 -2011

James I. Scheiner a director of Harsco since 1995 passed away this week aged 65.
Scheiner was also vice president of Century Engineering and a past secretary of revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

He was a former chairman of the Harsco Audit Committee and most recently was a member of the Management Development and Compensation Committee.

Harsco’s chief executive Salvatore D. Fazzolari said: “Jim’s passion for serving Harsco and our shareholders was virtually infinite. He was a man of enormous integrity, intellect and compassion who earned the admiration and respect of everyone within Harsco.”

Fellow director Robert Wilburn, added: “Jim will be remembered not only for his long tenure but most importantly for his lifelong dedication to the highest principles of service. We have lost a truly great friend and colleague.”
Memorial service arrangements have not yet been finalised.
