New sales structure for Manitowoc Europe
Manitowoc is restructuring its European sales operations following the departure of Frans Vanwinkel.
Vanwinkel who was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Europe, Africa and the Middle East will not have a direct replacement, instead his duties will be divided between three regional vice presidents.

The company says that the new structure, which has not yet been formally announced, says that its new regional structure will allow it to work even closer to its customers.
Europe will now comprise of three sales regions:
- “Western Europe” - comprising France, Benelux, Italy, Iberica and South European countries will be led by Christophe Simoncelli, vice-president sales, Western Europe.

- “Central and Eastern Europe” - including Germany, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Scandinavia and CIS countries, led by Klaus Kroeppel, vice-president sales, Central & Eastern Europe.

David Semple
Vanwinkel, 55, joined Manitowoc in April 2003 as sales and marketing vice president Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining the crane company he was a senior executive with truck manufacturer Iveco.
