Sheet handler from Bravi

Italian based aerial lift manufacturer Bravi showed a new construction panel handling attachment at Conexpo last week.

The attachment consists of a lightweight electric powered track and detachable adjustable frame to hold the sheet- be it plasterboard/drywall plywood or any material up to 15kg in weight. Please register to see all images

The Bravi dry wall-handler holds the sheet in an adjustable bracket

The handler can track the sheet from a position alongside the platform through 90 degrees overhead for ceiling work. The combination of aerial lift and positioner is intended to replace two separate units which usually requires two men to make it work.

The attachment which can be quickly and easily removed, will be tested and certified to both ANSI and CE. The unit has already been tested both in the plant and on application although it is not yet ready for delivery. It is likely to be available on most Bravi machines including the Leonardo and the new Lite.

Vertikal Comment

This is a simple, yet ingenious device and could greatly simplify the positioning of dry-wall/plasterboard panels saving manpower, eliminating the manual dry-wall lifts and making the job safer.

It will be interesting to see how rapidly it is adapted, not everyone will appreciate it, and not everyone will change from the traditional ways they handle this job, unless there is an obvious flaw that we have not spotted many will give it try. It is good to see a manufacturer introducing something new that is application driven.
