Ramirent continues Czech expansion

Ramirent has acquired the Czech construction machinery rental company Rent MB s.r.o. with locations in Boleslav and Liberec, both of which are north east of Prague.

Founded in 2003, Rent MB has a wide range of equipment, mainly tools and small equipment, but runs Unic spider cranes and a few five metre JCB telehandlers.

The acquisition takes the number of Ramirent outlets in the country to 29 and strengthens its coverage in the north east of the country. Please register to see all images

Tomasz Walawender, senior vice president of Ramirent Europe Central said: “We see good potential in the Czech market as it has a large construction output and a relatively low rental penetration. In one year, we have grown our network from 10 to 29 outlets through a series of bolt-on acquisitions, green field start-ups and franchised outlets in line with our strategy of developing a nation-wide coverage in each market. Rent MB has a geographical presence which further complements our existing network in Czech Republic.”
