Managing director Jim Longstaff said: “Rachel has done a superb job for us since joining and has been loyal to the major shareholders and this is a reward for her dedication and commitment.”

“We are continuing to see improvements in business and have placed significant orders for plant & access since January and aim to continue this throughout the rest of the year. Both turnover and profitability are improving to the best figures the business has enjoyed since the management buy-out in January 2007. We are therefore actively looking to take the business to the next level and Rachel’s promotion is key to this.”

As another part of the changes John Young has been promoted to the position of hire manager and Tracey Sheasby has joined the company following 15-years as hire controller with A-Plant.

“John has done well in difficult circumstances and has grown with the business” added Longstaff, “additionally in having an experienced hire person like Tracey, increases our customer-focus and helps to improve the excellent service for which Clements is known”

At the same time, the shareholding in the business is being “consolidated” between chairman – John Jennings, holding 40 percent of the equity and managing director Jim Longstaff who now holds 60 percent. Tony Stokes was previously a third shareholder.
