Cramo and Layher team up

Finnish based rental company Cramo has signed a group wide steel scaffold supply agreement with German based scaffold producer Layher.

The agreement covers the entire range of Layher steel scaffold products and in exchange offers Cramo access to Layher’s scaffold design, planning and logistical software. The first shipments of product to Cramo will occur later this month.

Martin Holmgren Cramo’s vice president, fleet management/equipment rental, said: “Steel scaffolding rental is an important and growing business for us, especially in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries. We are also rapidly introducing this operation in our other markets. The agreement with Layher offers our customers an easy access to the widest assortment of steel scaffolding in the market, for example All-Round scaffolding systems, façade scaffolding, façade scaffolding with temporary boards, tower scaffolding, circular scaffolding, birdcage scaffolding, suspended scaffolding, mobile scaffolding units etc...”

“Cramo will gain an access to a specialised software program for dimensioning, layout planning and calculation of most appropriate scaffolding solution for each customer project. Standard and compatible group wide scaffolding systems will in time improve coordination and efficiency at Cramo.”

Margot Hofmann sales manager at Layher added: “This agreement with Cramo is important to us. We are already supplying Cramo Finland in selected regions, but this agreement opens up Cramo’s entire market for us in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries – and over time also the other markets in the Cramo Group”.
