Briggs spends £5.5 million in the UK

Briggs Equipment has invested £5.5 million in its UK based short-term rental fleet as part of a £20 million transition plan to become the UK’s leading distributor of Yale Materials Handling equipment.

The investment includes 450 counterbalance trucks, order pickers, power pallet trucks and reach trucks taking its Yale range to over 900 units – or 30 percent of its fleet -with an average age of under18 months.

Allan Parsons, asset manager at Briggs said: “We have made a huge step in our transition plan of replacing all of our old short term rental machines in the fleet with new Yale trucks.
