Veidekke and Ramirent renew

Norwegian contractor Veidekke Entreprenør has renewed its supply and co-operation agreement with Ramirent until 2013.

The new agreement relates to the rental of machinery and equipment across the whole of Norway.

Veidekke’ s managing director Dag Andresen said: “The negotiations took a long time, but we are now pleased to have reached an agreement. The cooperation model will help both us and the suppliers develop and grow, and we are delighted to be able to continue our long-term cooperation with Ramirent.”

“We at Ramirent are grateful for the continued confidence that Veidekke has shown in us by signing this agreement,” added Bjørn E. L. Larsen, senior vice president of Ramirent Norway.

“Veidekke are an extremely professional and demanding customer, and we will work together to develop expertise in the area and new progressive solutions. Over the course of the coming agreement period we will be focusing particularly on safety work, and we will do our best to contribute towards minimising injuries and absence from work within Veidekke’ s projects.”

The first agreement between Ramirent and Veidekke was concluded in 2002 after Veidekke sold its rental operation/equipment division– Bautas – to Ramirent. The deal was based on cash and a large stake in Ramirent which Veidekke sold in 2004 and 2005.
