Fatal crane accident

A man died earlier today in Brierley Hill in the UK Midlands, after he was crushed while working on an overhead crane.

Wilfred Williams, 57, was working around four to five metres above the ground at C Brown and Sons, steel stockholders. An air ambulance rushed to the scene and fire-fighters used an aerial lift to reach the injured man and bring him to the ground.

The Health & Safety Executive is investigating.
