400 lifts for Kranpunkten

Swedish based Kranpunkten has acquired 400 additional used Genie aerial lifts from a leading asset finance provider.

The ‘lead arranger’ on the deal - which included a high proportion of larger boom lifts form 2006 and 2007 - was GV Asset

A key feature of the deal was an element of flexibility built into the transaction, should utilisation trends not develop as expected. Ed Wigley of GV said: “The financial flexibility that we have built into this transaction, made the case for adding used equipment even more attractive, in terms of cash flow and return on investment.”

Some of the 400 units in the Kranpunkten package

The 400 units build on the 300 lifts added to the Kranpunkten fleet earlier in 2010. The company operates from three locations, two in Sweden and one in Norway. GV specialises in asset fleet disposals and acquisitions, bringing together buyers, sellers and most importantly- tailored financial packages.
