New services from Ritchie
Auctioneers Ritchie Bros is offering a number of new services to those who buy equipment through its auctions in North America and Europe. Available from now through 2012, they include:
-More detailed machine information - from July 1, Ritchie Bros will provide more equipment information online for lots in its industrial auctions. This will include up to 50 high-resolution photographs of each lot, allowing buyers to clearly see key components and condition, along with a multi-point summary of those components and comments on basic functionality. The new service is intended to enable buyers to assess equipment online more efficiently and in greater detail prior to inspecting it in person or buying on line.
-Real-time auction results will be available for all customers viewing its auctions online buyers will instantly be able to see how much items have sold for and will be able to scroll back to see prices obtained for items they may have missed earlier in the day.
-Financing options, including equipment loans and lease-to-own programmes for equipment purchased at auction. Available now in the U.S. and Canada, the plan is to roll-out the service in Europe and elsewhere in 2012.
Power train warranties - buyers will now be able to purchase an optional powertrain service warranty, for equipment purchased in North American auctions now and at European and the rest of the world auctions by 2012.
