Round-the-clock breakdown service
UK-based rental company Hewden has launched a new 24 hour breakdown service.
The company says that the service has been developed in response to the changing working patterns of its customers and is available throughout the UK, 365 days of the year.
“The traditional ‘Monday to Friday’ working hours are becoming a thing of the past,” said Stuart Wild, Hewden area operations manager. “Customers are now working longer and in some cases, particularly in the events industry, they’re working throughout the weekend too.”
“In the event of a breakdown, the new service gives customers the peace of mind that their plant and equipment will be returned to safe operation promptly at a very competitive price, anywhere in Great Britain.”
Hewden has also invested in more than 200 new vehicles for use across its depot network fitted with racking and restraint straps, as well as full steel bulkheads.
The interior racking is fully re-useable, meaning that when an old vehicle is decommissioned, the equipment can be removed, adapted and re-installed into a new vehicle, avoiding the need for new systems to be manufactured.
