Hek adds to light range

Alimak Hek is extending its Light Range of hoists with the introduction of the TPL 300 and TPL500.

The new models are available in three phase 500kg capacity or 300kg single phase configuration and offer dual functionality for use as either a transport platform or material hoist.

The new Hek TPL 300 and TPL500 extend the company's Light Range of hoists

The three phase 500kg unit has a lift sped of 12 metres a minute in transport platform configuration and 24 metres when configured as a material hoist. The single phase 300kg manages 10 metres a minute. A simple key switch on the electrical control panel converts the units from transport platforms to material hoists, with all appropriate safety features enabled.

The new lifts are completely modular in order to offer the maximum flexibility in platform configuration for the user. The load ramp position is fully interchangeable and it can be installed on side A, B or C. It can also be replaced by a bi-foldable gate, to permit easy loading of the platform with a fork-lift, or for when it is to be used as a transport platform for ease of personnel access.

The exit ramp is also interchangeable and can be installed on the A or B side, and includes options for a control bar system with vertical or horizontal bar opening. The third side of the machine is provided with a fixed railing or, alternatively, with a ramp or bi-foldable gate.

The Hek TPL 300/TPL500 hoists platform

The enhanced mast design allows tie distances up to 7.5 metres to be achieved, giving the ability to easily span three floors of a building or scaffold. The tie pipes are fixed on the mast sections via a double frame arrangement that also affords greater rigidity to the masts, whilst still being quick and simple to install.

The mast sections are connected by four eyebolts, permanently attached to the mast section itself, making assembly faster, and eliminating the risk of loss or misuse. The installation platform allows safe access to the mast and the facade, so that the mast and ties to the wall can be installed/erected in complete safety.

The platform floor structure is made from folded and perforated plates, which are both structural elements and a rigid and anti-slip walking surface, suitable also for the transport of loads. The floor, installation platform, ramps, mast and tie ins are all hot dip galvanized in order to reduces maintenance and provide a long life in tough construction environments.

The TPL 300 and 500 are fitted with an over-speed safety device that brings the hoist to a controlled stop if the platform exceeds the rated speed, and an overload sensing device.
