Wacker Neuson up 35%
Telehandler, loader, mini excavator and light equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson has announced first half revenues up 34.6 percent.
Total revenues for the period were €478.7 million 34.5 percent higher than in the first half of 2010. Order intake outpaced production and invoicing pushing the backlog/order book up 20 percent. Pre-tax profits for the first half increased fivefold jumping from €9.1 million last year to €46.7 million this year.
The second quarter saw the pace continue with revenues by more than 30 percent to €266.9 million, while pre-tax profits doubled from €15.8 million last year to $32.8 million this year.
As to breakdown all of the company’s operational regions saw a strong increase in revenues, with Europe growing over 36 percent to €351.4 million representing over 73 percent of total sales, while the Americas held steady at 23 percent as Asia slipped back slightly to just 3.6 percent of total sales.
Breakdown by product type shows that Compact Equipment which includes telehandlers, is now the largest business with total sales of €202.4 million over
62 percent up on the same period last year.
On the basis of the first half, the company has increased its forecasts for the full year to from €880 - €920 to €910 – 930 million.
