34 Skyking van mounts for Eircom
Ireland's largest telecommunications provider Eircom has taken delivery of 34 Skyking S125RA 12.5 metre van mounted work platforms.
King Highway Products supplied the Skyking platforms, which incorporate GSR superstructures, with chassis, modifications and mounting by King. In this case the lifts are all mounted on specially-modified Fiat Ducato chassis.
This is the first time that King has fitted one of its van mounted lifts to the Fiat Ducato, King says it was very impressed with the helpful response they had from Fiat in resolving all technical issues quickly in order for the units to be delivered to a tight deadline.

The new platforms are replacing Eircom's current fleet of lifts on Iveco Dailys and the new vehicles are expected to make a significant impact on fuel costs, thanks to the Ducato’s frugal MultiJet engines, single-axle chassis and lighter
overall weight.
The new lifts intended for maintenance on Eircom's overhead cable network, can be operated either from the controls in the platform or via a second set of controls inside the vehicle body.
