Gantic to open in UK
Norwegian based battery charger specialist Gantic is to open a new UK operation Ganticharger UK Ltd.
Based in Leicestershire, ‘Ganticharger UK will be managed by UK sales manager David Townsend, who joins from Punch Taverns where he was draught dispense manager and head of technical sales.
“I’m extremely proud to be responsible for bringing this unique and exciting product into the UK market. Users of electrically powered access equipment will be well aware of the costs, the pitfalls, environmental impact and frequency batteries are damaged by inefficient charging of lead acid packs. ‘GantiCharger’ addresses all of these issues and is truly a revolutionary product.”
Gantic UK will supply the access rental industry as well as manufacturers, construction companies and dealers.
Tommy Jørgensen, the creator of the award winning, intelligent charger and owner of Gantic will officially open the new UK business base tomorrow.
The GantiCharger charges each battery in a traction battery pack individually, rather than applying a standard charge across the pack as a whole. Among many other benefits it claims to reduce the frequency and costs associated with battery replacement caused by boiling of battery electrolyte, while reducing the requirement for battery equalisation, cutting sulphate deposits via its desulphation technology and reduce the power required per charge.
