New 20m truck mount from RAM
Italian based truck mounted lift manufacturer RAM is launching a new 20 metre articulated boom lift on a 3.5 tonne Nissan Cabstar chassis.
The new lift, the Gemini 20.35PTJ actually uses the lift mechanism from a Bluelift C22 tracked spider lift.
While the new lift uses a regular dual arm sigma type riser, the company has managed to keep the overall stowed height to 2.25 metres, barely higher than the Nissan truck cab.

In addition to the dual riser, the lift has a three section telescopic boom and articulated jib. Overall length is 6.68 metres, but can be reduced to 5.98 metres if the platform is removed for transport.
Outreach is 11 metres at a working height of just over 10 metres down to almost two metres in a parallel lift working envelope – ideal for working on facades. Jacking width is 2,160 mm when straight down and 2,720mm when the front outriggers are fully extended – the rear outriggers always remain within the machine’s overall width.

The boom can be raised and used free on wheels, as long as the superstructure remains centred. Slew is non-continuous but offers 220 degrees in each direction, while platform rotation is 80 degrees. The platform is end mounted and has a maximum capacity of 200kg.
The new lift will be on show at Apex next week.
