Virginia Death Wish

Spotted by a reader, a photo in his local paper showing a group of builders in Bristow, Virginia, who clearly don’t understand that low level falls can seriously injure or even kill.

In the land of the self-propelled lift these guys clearly still worship the ladder, even when it is obviously not the most appropriate solution for the job. While the heights are relatively low they exceed two metres in places.

Not an aerial lift or scaffold in sight.

Add to that the substantial cantilever on the staging boards at each end of the vertical ladders and it begins to look like a classic Death Wish.
