Painter in fatal fall

A painter and his colleague have fallen from a ‘crane’ while working at height at the Dataran Pahlawan shopping complex in Melaka - south of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia earlier today.

The two men were from Indonesia, one aged 24 died at the scene, while his colleague, 34, was injured.

The two were apparently standing on the crane to pain a wall at a bank on the complex when something caused them to fall off. While the report we have sent clearly states a crane we believe that it was in fact a makeshift platform, but have been unable to confirm that.
