Toyota Material Handling adds Canada

Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A (TMH) has acquired the Industrial Equipment Division of Toyota Canada.

In addition to its core business of distributing Toyota lift trucks, TMH is the master distributor for Aichi aerial work platforms in North America.

The company now boasts 73 dealers working from 224 locations, throughout the United States and Canada, many of which are active Aichi dealers.

Rob Reinders, previously director of the Canadian industrial division, has been appointed director of Canadian operations for the merged business.

"We are elated to build on Toyota’s material handling experience, dealers and associates in Canada and the U.S. to create greater material handling synergies and efficiencies for our customers," said Brett Wood, president of TMH. "This alignment advances our goal to provide industry-leading products and service to our North American customers."

As part of the takeover TMH has launched a new bi-lingual version of its web site directed at Canadian customers.
