Lyte opens new facility
UK based Lyte Ladders & Towers hosted the official opening of its new production facility in Swansea, South Wales yesterday.
The lord mayor of Swansea, Ioan Richard, officially opened the new factory in the presence of over 50 customers, suppliers and business partners. The company took over the new plant almost a year ago.

Visitors were welcomed at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium by Hannah Lewis, commercial director and managing director John Greene before being bussed to the plant for a tour of the production area, offices and training facilities.

Established in 1947, Lyte Ladders and Towers manufactures and supplies domestic, trade and industrial ladders and mobile towers to companies such as BT, Centrica, Sky and British Gas. It employs 110 staff all of who moved with the company from its previous factory in Ystradgynlais, South Wales.

The main production area
The additional space in the new plant will enable the company to develop robotic manufacturing processes and develop its expansion plans in the UK and overseas markets including France and Germany.
