Cranes and access in Arizona

There are just three weeks to go until the first Lift and Access Showcase & Symposium in Scottsdale Arizona.

The new event builds on the annual Equipment Showcase in which manufacturers came together to allow a side by side by side evaluation of a different piece of access and telehandler equipment each year. Only manufacturers and their staff were allowed to attend along with a few component suppliers who helped sponsor the event.

Machines are thouroughly put through their paces by the judges

This year the organisers have opened the event up to qualified visitors – rental company and end user staff – and added an informal exhibition and educational symposium. The exhibition will be run along similar lines to Vertikal Days in the UK and Platformers Days in Germany, with an informal setting and the ability for visitors to test and evaluate the equipment.

• Tier 4 Engines: Deciphering Fact from Fiction
• OSHA Crane Regulations and Their Effect on the Rental Industry
• Telehandler Attachments: Opportunities for End Users

The event will also host a Crane Operator Rodeo, this year operators will have a chance to prove their worth on various boom trucks in the 15 and 18 ton category.
